<br />
<br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b>WHICH - </b>examples:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;">➤</span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;"> </span>Paintings, <b>which</b> are rare, attract a lot of people.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;">➤</span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;"> </span>The monkey, <u><b>which </b>the zookeeper selected from the tribe</u>, was very friendly.
<br />
<span style="color: blue;"><b>THAT - </b>examples:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="text-align: justify;">➤</span><span style="text-align: justify;"> </span></span>The car (<b>that</b>) has a white bonnet needs repair (El coche (<b>que)</b> tiene capó blanco necesita reparación)<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;">➤</span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;"> </span>The entrances (<b>that</b>) were closed off by the police still open.(Las entradas (que) fueron precintadas por la policía siguen abiertas)<br />
<br />
<br />
<u><b>Recuerde:</b></u><br />

<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">"How do you feel", he <b style="text-align: left;">said </b><span style="text-align: left;">("Cómo te sientes", dijo él.)</span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b style="text-align: left;">Tell </b><span style="text-align: left;">me what </span><span style="text-align: left;">you are thinking?
</ul>
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Los verbos <b>say </b>y <b>tell </b>tienen significados similares.
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">➤</span> Los verbos <b>SAY </b>y <b>TELL </b>son verbos irregulares:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: start;">
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>SAY - </b>presente simple <b> | SAID - </b>pasado simple</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>TELL - </b>presente simple <b> |</b> <b>TOLD - </b>pasado simple</span></li>
</ul>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 13.2px;"><b>WHAT </b>y <b>WHICH </b>son determinantes que se emplean a menudo en muy variadas frases.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="background-color: white; clear: both;">

Hágase la pregunta: how? -¿cómo? How do I travel? I travel <u>by car.</u><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I opened the door <b>with </b>the key. (Hágase la pregunta también aquí: how? -how do I open de door? (¿Con qué abro la puerta?) with the key.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Para expresar<b> </b>sensaciones, como ira, tristeza también se utiliza <b>with </b>(I am <b>sad with </b>my life | Estoy <u>triste con</u> mi vida). Ejemplos más abajo.</div>
<b><br /></b>
<b>BY </b>usos<br />
<ul>
<li>She gets jetlagged when <u>travelling by</u> plane.</li>
<li>She contacts me <u>by sending</u> emails. </li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<b>By </b>para describir una localización:<br />
<ul>
<li>The National Theatre is <b>by </b>the river Thames (El Teatro Nacional se encuentra junto al río Támesis).</li>
<li>The White House is <b>by</b> Pennsylvania Avenue (La Casa Blanca está en Pennsylvania Avenue)</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div>
<b>By </b>en voz pasiva<br />
<ul>
<li>The fridge was delivered <b>by</b> the selling company.</li>
<li>Due to defaults, the restaurant was closed <b>by</b> the tax office.</li>
<li>Internal affairs were solved <b>by</b> the Minister of the Interior.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<ul>
<li>You can do a better job <u>by doing it yourself</u> instead of asking the others. </li>
<li>It will be better if you illustrate the audience <u>by showing the film</u>. </li>
</ul>
<u><b><br /></b></u>
<ul>
<li>You can get that job <b>by</b> selling yourself properly.</li>
<li>Our team will only win <b>by</b> putting hard work.</li>
<li><b>By</b> expressing a few thanking words, you will be popular again. </li>
</ul>
<br />
<b>WITH </b>usos<br />
I work <b>with a hammer</b> (trabajo con un martillo). </div>
<ul>
<li>You can open a bottle of wine <b>with</b> a <u>corkscrew</u> (Puedes abrir una botella de vino con un sacacorchos). El sacacorchos es el instrumento.</li>
<li>The restaurant can only work <b>with </b>a <u>team</u> of professionals.</li>
</ul>
<u><br /></u>
I am always <u><b>happy</b></u><b><u> with</u> </b>him (Siempre estoy <u>feliz con</u> él).<br />
<ul></ul>
<ul>
<li>I get <b>upset with</b> your impertinence.</li>
<li>She feels <b>comfortable with </b>her life.</li>
<li>They felt really <b>embarrassed with </b>the salesman attitude. </li>
</ul>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>With </b>después de adjetivos relacionados con sentimientos:</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Afraid with</li>
<li>Happy with</li>
<li>Annoyed with </li>
<li>Surprised with</li>
</ul>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> I am amus<b>ed</b> (Estoy entretenido / Me divierte).
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> </span></span>I am amus<b>ing</b> (Soy divertido) -Describe quién causa el sentimiento.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ejemplos:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> </span>Your son is annoyed (Your son feels annoyed); <span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> (Se siente molesto -él expresa un sentimiento)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> </span>He is annoying. (He is an annoying person); <span style="background-color: white;">➤</span><span style="background-color: white;"> (Él es molesto, -él es la causa de esa molestia).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Vea más ejemplos: </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-9532-58b8-24c0-8eb4ac91cd20"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><img height="310" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_KTBTNmucqBdkgcI4X6iAbP9mCOVqeb08z0DL6IaqvVYjO_yumgYBKEkx55zj7q9B4Ccq24wkY6bMHhqV48FrZyZUi3d1Y3k9NVrXovCPGHH-_SvmteOMpqSg05RGyEHyLvo0v96" style="-webkit-transform: rotate(0.00rad); border: none; transform: rotate(0.00rad);" width="554" /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>confused - confusing | bored - boring | satisfy - satisfying | amused - amusing | annoyed - annoying...</li>
</ul>
<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<li><b>Make</b> a nice pastry (Haz un buen pastel). | <b>To make</b> a good deal (Hacer un buen trato).</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">➤ La diferencia estriba en que </span><b style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">do</b><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"> es, en general, un verbo de acción. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;">➤ <b>will - </b>con pronombres </span>de la segunda y tercera personas singular y plural - <b>you, he, she, it, they</b>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I, we </b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-8af2-517b-0d4f-429ea09a6900"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "verdana"; font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
Examples:<br />
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-8b04-cc91-3489-238240f32ff8"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "verdana"; font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><img height="271" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/X-U4Qv1qDZW6bzyPDi0HSg1Fykp43hbLs_hMs-AYbjUlx8C17AzvQTGXuvBrkLbcGJ5Fknphh16Tc_SgjlbWR_a-7emVdnLQemHzVTiTZ1-2tODXzgOh3gmclHX083oK7nzNbm3f" style="-webkit-transform: rotate(0.00rad); border: none; transform: rotate(0.00rad);" width="428" /></span></span></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">Don't worry, I <b>shall</b> be in touch with you.</span></li>
<li><b>Shall </b>I bring you a cup of coffee?</li>
<li>You <u>will </u>be happy in your new job.</li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">He <u>will</u> be here on Tuesday.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">She <u>will</u> be married next </span>month<span style="font-family: inherit;">.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">It <u>will</u> be a nice day.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">We <b>shall </b>be together in summer. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">We <b>shan't </b>(shall not) except a lower salary.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;"><u>Will</u> you be here tomorrow morning?</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">They <u>will</u> be exhausted with so much work.</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Por otra parte, en la práctica, especialmente en el inglés hablado, al emplear pronombres se tiende a utilizar las contracciones - <b>they will = we'll | she will = she'll | shall not = shan't - </b>y, por tanto, cuando nos referimos al futuro, excepto cuando se trata de escritos formales enviados a entidades o personas de alto rango, etc.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">There <u>will </u>be the end of the world by next year, the astrologer said.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">On Sunday, our son <u>will</u> be coming from the USA.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">I <b>shall </b>not (shan't) except any reduction of my salary.</span></li>
<li>We<span style="font-family: inherit;"> <b>shall</b> only deal with the truth.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">They <u>will</u> be in London by next Christmas.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">You <u>will</u> be a PhD in economics next term.</span></li>
</ul>
<b style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></b>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">We shall always remember the way you helped us.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">You shall obey!</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">They shall not be allowed in the premises.</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Come what it may, a marine will never abandon his mate.</li>
<li>You can count on us, we shall fulfill our part.</li>
<li>Above anything else, I will be there on the agreed date and time.</li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">I shall contact you again when I have further information.</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: inherit;">Ofrecimientos y deseos</span></b></div>
<ul>
<li>Would you like a glass of wine? | I will have Scotch whisky, if you don't mind.</li>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">May I help you? | Don't worry, I will manage, thank you.</span></li>
<li>Shall I call you tomorrow? | There is no need, I will be coming to see you again.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: inherit;">It’s getting late. <b>Shall</b> we go home</span>?</li>
<li><b>Shall</b> I invite Louisa and Jill to the party?</li>
<li><b>Shall </b>I open the door for you?</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>modal verb +</b> <b>to have + participio pasado de un verbo: </b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I <u>must have gone</u><b>; </b>verbo modal➙ <b>must</b> + ➙ <b>have + </b>participio pasado➙ <b>gone (</b><b>to go).</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Examples:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
➤ El <i>modal perfect s</i>e puede formar con <b>must have, may have, might have, could have, can't have (cannot have), would have, should have, ought to have</b><br />
I will have worked (Yo habré trabajado).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Lucy <b>may have had</b> to take the late flight. </li>
<li>She <b>must have been</b> in class at that time.</li>

<li>I <b>should have thought</b> it about, now everything is lost.</li>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Se forma usando la construcción <b>will + have + been + </b>el participio presente en gerundio -raíz<b> + -ing:</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
Examples:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><u>La única excepción a la regla anterior es el verbo <b>to be</b></u>, que tiene dos formas: <b>was / were</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>be - was </li>
<li>will - would </li>
<li>work - worked </li>
<li>say - said </li>
<li>love - loved </li>
<li>rob - robbed </li>
<li>believe - believed </li>
<li>keep - kept</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: blue; font-family: inherit;">Usos del "past tense":</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">✦</span><span style="background-color: white;"> </span>They <b>lived </b>in Paris until last year.

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">✦ He <b>was </b>only a child -Verbo <b>to be </b>en pasado. (El era solo un niño).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: blue;"><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: blue;">Para pronunciarse en modo negativo (observe que para la negación se utiliza el verbo<u> to do</u>):</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">✦ He <b>didn't</b> (did not) like his day off.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">✦ I <b>didn't </b>think about returning to work.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white;">✦ They <b>didn't </b>believe in honesty.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: start;">
<div style="text-align: start;">
<br /></div>
<b style="text-align: start;">they play ❏ she walks ❏ we argue ❏ they work ❏ you watch</b><br />
<b style="text-align: start;"><br /></b>
<b style="font-family: inherit;">Present simple / Presente simple</b><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-2cc4-b906-1011-fcd5b278a4ed"><span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: 700; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><img height="265" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/x6tmU6eJfIEys7VcgzlP_clxpXPpcwfsg1hIMtRbpM739-W5rBVOmjHeAJyEPgWbDXDCddCG7GchBBsT6yGZm06g9enEI0apZbho0mqOm3C2cZvSCGdw7z1y7yFH-g7U3CDremxX" style="-webkit-transform: rotate(0.00rad); border: none; transform: rotate(0.00rad);" width="602" /></span></span></div>
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
Observe que <u>tanto las preguntas como las negaciones</u>, independientemente del verbo principal, utilizan el verbo <b>to do</b><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span><span style="color: blue; font-family: inherit;"><b>El tiempo presente describe situaciones, hechos o sucesos actuales:</b></span><br />

<li>Does he speak English</li>
<li>Do you think I am deaf?</li>
<li>Where do they come from?</li>
<li>Do you like spaghetti?</li>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-0556-f9d7-6bcd-9caa59df6123"><span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 11pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><img alt="Los verbos modales pueden significar obligación, certeza, petición, posibilidad, etc" height="248" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/VRHW4lq3d3VZkaC1MNiBE_Ao4BVbxHNbWriHcpJF8ryWHXxWXAulVGsaesy5gX4GaricdAQt0lYMKv21Reo-ZHTnOT3YE1_iUSBeVAPtk8czMuP98YlkiFqjd3xaxUcJ2XdL_Su7" style="border: none; transform: rotate(0rad);" title="MODAL VERBS-3: may, might, must | VERBOS MODALES-3: may, might, must" width="602" /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 11pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span id="docs-internal-guid-d05a2a8a-0571-d423-e113-7fb0a4f2b61b"> </span> <img alt="Frases negativas de verbos modales, MUST, MAY, MIGHT" height="233" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/VGIuQ8BbU1u4q6-0EYgp4Sf_LZ6w-8g0BEh8MA9Q5z-kuhJzMkob1loKuwrJrOnE8kkeXsDFxYdAbz2acZ7U8P_g3mH_xv7GTlioPICwDncbVsanYT4qD5l3nWkjYslcFYyzQ8eg" style="border: none; font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; transform: rotate(0rad); white-space: pre-wrap;" title="MODAL VERBS-3: may, might, must | VERBOS MODALES-3: may, might, must" width="602" /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><span style="color: blue;">MUST</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>We must not forget the keys of the front door.</li>
<li>On Friday, I must go to hospital</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: blue;"><b>MAY</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>You may call me tomorrow</li>
<li>May I have a glass of wine, please?</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: blue;"><b>MIGHT</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>They missed the flight; I mentioned to them that they might arrive late.</li>
<li>I think that horse might be the race winner.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No obstante, con respecto a los verbos modales <b>may, might, must </b>conviene recalcar lo siguientes particularidades que también son aplicables a la mayoría de los verbos modales:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ejemplos: you <u>ought to work</u> harder. I <u>must do</u> my homework. I <u>may be</u> late.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ejemplos: can you listen to me? No, I can't listen to you</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You <u><b>may </b>have been</u> on the telephone when I called you.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
